JOIN A COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT)
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has organized the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program since 1993 to train citizens in basic disaster response skills.
CERT operates primarily by training its members as auxiliary responders to aid their communities during emergency situations when professional responders are not immediately available.
CERT members are also encouraged to take an active role in emergency preparedness projects in the local community.
